The Personal Skills Development (PSD) course is a compulsory course delivered in four different parts, for both Full and Part Time cohorts. The course is graded pass or fail (not graded on the scale 1-10). All students must attend, and complete assigned exercises and other class work to pass.

The four parts of the course unfold as follows:

Part 1, “Developing Leadership Skills and Leadership Self-Awareness”, is designed to actively engage participants in the theory and practice of leadership and leadership skills. It includes five Sessions.

Session 1 is focused on Leadership Skills and the value of developing leadership self-awareness. Session 2 is devoted to Team Leadership and the team leader’s decision-making skills. Session 3 proceeds with Conflict Management Skills and Session 4 introduces MBA participants to Negotiations Skills focusing on the fact that that a leader’s ability to be a trusted negotiator in conflict situations is strongly correlated with making a positive impact on an entire organization. 

IPart 2, “Personal Branding & Networking”, focuses on how to make the best possible impact on others through better self-knowledge, and cultivation of one’s personal brand and network.

 Part 3, “Career Coaching”, is designed to provide individualized career counselling and coaching, based on individual face-to-face meetings, CV, motivation letter and career prospecting workshops. These activities are run by Ms. Ioanna Tranou, i-MBA Career Development Manager.

 Part 4, “Consulting Skills Workshop”, is delivered over 2*3 hours to the Full-Time and second year Part-Time students in preparation for the graduation projects, the Immersion Project (FT) and the Integrated Impact Project (PT). The objective of the workshop is to develop students’ understanding of a consultant’s role in organizations, and what skills and behaviours are needed for succeeding with consulting missions.
